InsureAust has undergone a restructure. Our ‘wholesale’ activities are now undertaken by new entity Underwriting Australia Pty Ltd (www.underwriting.com.au).

Over the last 5 years or so, InsureAust has built a strong online following and they plan to capitalise on this by establishing a specialist directory website that links ‘retail’ (public) & ‘wholesale’ (insurance brokers) clients to various specialist insurance providers.

The intent is to use online marketing leverage to generate extra online product exposure for each specialist insurance provider for minimal annual cost.

InsureAust has registered some 240 domain names covering a wide spectrum of insurance products. The domain name format is www.(productword)insure.com.au.

How does it work?

1. Go thru Enter at www.insureaust.com.au & review the list of domain names.
2. Each domain name will link users to a specialist website.
3. The website is ‘standalone’, providing users direct access, plus the insurance product specialist gains from having an additional website in cyberspace and in various search engines.
4. Each specialist website will benefit from significant cross marketing leverage. (InsureAust is part of a wider group of related companies, where the online marketing team manages some 1,730 owned commercial websites, so a solid depth of online experience.)

What’s the package?

1. Exclusive lease of the relevant domain name.
2. A hosted website for that domain name. A separate website will benefit from search engine optimisation, plus www.insureaust.com.au will be linked from 1,400+ controlled websites.
3. 24/7 access to load and maintain relevant website content (i.e., an opportunity to separate your specialist product content away from your general website).
4. Annual fee $350, including GST.
5. To allow time to organise website content, the 1st year’s subscription won’t expire until 1st September 2009.
6. No contract. Whilst ongoing annual lease fees are paid, you retain exclusive use.
7. Should InsureAust decide to sell the various domain names in the future, the lessee has ‘first right of refusal’ to acquire.

The owners of InsureAust have a vested interest to ensure the concept is successful as they have secured 6 specialist domain names for their use. They are currently preparing website content.

Next steps?

1. Select a domain name. Email lease@insureaust.com.au and ensure you identify the domain name in the ‘Subject line’. Domain names reserved on a ‘first in’ basis.
2. InsureAust will confirm the domain name as ‘reserved’ and forward a Tax Invoice. The Tax Invoice must be paid by the nominated date to keep the domain name reserved. If not paid by the nominated date, the domain name will be offered to any party on the ‘short list’ or made available to others.
3. Once paid, you’ll be provided with access codes to start to upload website content.
